To be the leading school in the Spanish-speaking world in the integration of the natural sciences, physical practice and environmental awareness.
A recognisable cultural hub, not just a provider of courses. A school that demonstrates, from a specific local context, that human health and environmental health are one and the same process.
MISSION
Holística Nature trains facilitators, teachers and individuals in disciplines that reconnect the body, consciousness and the territory. With a scientific basis and a contemplative approach. In real natural environments and on online platforms.
We work along three inseparable strands:
- Body & Movement — physical practice based on biomechanical rigour and an understanding of the nervous system.
- Nature and Territory — forest bathing, nature trails, ethnobotany: learning to read the landscape just as one learns to read a text.
- Human ecology — the overarching concept: the human being understood as an ecosystem and as part of a larger ecosystem.
When all three aspects work together, learning is complete.
PURPOSE
To bridge the divide between humankind and nature — both within and outside the body — through knowledge, practice and direct experience of the territory.
We do not start from an intuition: we start from evidence. The mental health crisis of our time and the ecological crisis have the same root cause. We have ceased to inhabit — our bodies, our attention, the places where we live. And what can be unlearned can be learnt again.
Holística Nature is neither a wellness centre nor an active tourism company. It is a school. And a school does not promise emotional results: it offers a learning experience. That is what sets us apart from generic wellness, and it is a distinction we uphold with conviction.
We were born in the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The territory is not merely a backdrop: it is the central theme.
