Helena Chacón and Javier Muriel They founded Holística Nature, each coming from different backgrounds that converge on a shared conviction: that the body, consciousness and the land are learnt together, or not learnt at all.
Helena holds a PhD in Geology with a European specialisation, is an E-RYT500 yoga teacher, and is a specialist in ecotherapy, forest bathing, Ayurvedic medicine and traditional Chinese medicine.
Javier is an E-RYT500 yoga teacher, an expert in pranayama and mindful breathing, an environmental educator, currently training to become a Nature Guide and ‘Sendas Verdes’ guide, and a student on the Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences.
Their shared journey — spanning more than twenty-five years of practice, training and research in Spain, India, Indonesia and Bali — forms the foundation upon which the school and everything taught there is built. Both hold the Certificate of Professional Competence in Yoga Instruction, an officially recognised qualification in Spain.

Where we live
The school is based in Navahermosa, a hamlet of Galaroza, within the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The local area is not merely the setting: it is part of the method. Face-to-face training combines the Galaroza Museum Hall as a space for theoretical work and the Natural Park as a living classroom. Online training is delivered via the Holística Formación platform at https://holisticaformacion.com
